The 2004 Ford Mustang is a powerful combination of performance and style in a car is relatively inexpensive. Both coupe and convertible are available in a variety of trim packages. GT models are equipped with a 4.6 liter V8 engine which is capable of 260 horsepower with 302 pounds feet of torque. gas pressure shocks were with added unique features to optimize overall performance. Other features include performance GT wheels that are painted, the traction control ABS and the rear axle of a traction lock. The five-speed manual transmission offered has a high fifth gear to allow drivers obtain the best fuel economy possible. The Mach 1 edition sees the addition of a 310 V8 engine power. Other features of these models include overhead cams, sportier suspension, shaker hood black, moss-trimmed seats, 6 CD changer, and graphics field.
Standard safety features include energy management retractors for seat belts so that if my is necessary to improve safety in an accident, it is given. As mentioned earlier ABS and traction control are optional features basic models and standard on the GT level. Overall, the 2004 Ford Mustang does well in crash tests, scoring a perfect score in crashes front.
Fuel consumption is a culmination of another of these vehicles and is very similar to many family sedans equipped V6. Consumers can expect anywhere from 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. The V8 engines to receive the worst economy as a whole with driving on Highway 20 remains low in the MPGs. The smaller V6 is an excellent choice for those who do not need all that power and want to put a little money at the pump.
Owning a Mustang can be a very rewarding experience, and should not be overlooked by buyers looking for something a little sporty, but still within the range prices are very affordable. A decent Ford Mustang 2004 is easy to find.
